Every 9 SECONDS, a story of survival begins. Every 9 SECONDS, change becomes possible. It's time to disrupt the status quo.
Every 9 seconds marks a moment that demands disruption.
In the time it took you to read that sentence, another life was impacted by domestic violence – but these same 9 seconds also mark our opportunities for transformation.
At Nine Seconds, we're done being quiet. We're done with cycles of abuse, addiction, and incarceration destroying families and perpetuating trauma across generations. We're not just raising awareness, we're creating radical change through bold advocacy, transformative education, and holistic support.
This is more than a mission, it is an urgent movement. From personal crisis to global transformation.
Founded by survivor and advocate Dr. Marci Batiste, Nine Seconds Corporation takes a progressive and uncompromising stance: abuse in any form is unacceptable, and silence is no longer an option.
We serve as a resource and partner to individuals, families, and communities committed to breaking generational cycles of harm through proactive education, leadership training, and supportive character development.
Join the movement. Because every nine seconds matters, and change starts now.
Break Free. Rise Strong. Live Powerfully.
At Nine Seconds Corporation, we believe that every individual and every family deserves to live in a safe, supportive environment. Our mission is to promote violence-free homes and safe communities by providing trauma-informed training, support, and education to individuals and families in crisis.
Nine Seconds is a progressive non-profit organization committed to disrupting cycles of abuse and trauma through bold action and transformative change.
Recovery from abuse is not the answer, awareness isn't cutting it, rates of suicide, addiction, incarceration, and domestic and family violence continue to rise. So, we raise our hand to say awareness has been ineffective and we are committed to pivot toward proactive solutions.
We can't afford to be timid or quiet we must be vocal and demand a culture shift that demand inclusion and stops leaving men out of the conversations. We have to be willing to listen and show them the same care, empathy, and consideration that has been extended to women for decades.
The fact of the matter is, women are more likely to be victims, men are more likely to be the ones inflicting the harm. Prevention isn't possible until we allow the needs and voices of men to be heard and ensure that they have resources, tools, and support to let their voices be heard.
If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. The Silent Sons Initiative has been developed to be that solution.
As a true prevention-first movement that equips boys and young men with the tools to lead themselves with composure, character, and clarity before destructive patterns take root.
The Silent Sons Initiative was born from over 30 years of combined experience in corporate leadership, behavioral health, and youth mentorship, along with firsthand insight as a survivor of domestic and family violence. After decades of working in trauma recovery, domestic violence prevention, substance abuse treatment, and community mentoring, it became clear that far too often we wait until it is too late to act.
This initiative emerged from the realization that intervention after harm has occurred is often reactive and costly. Lives are altered. Families are fractured. And in some cases, the damage is irreversible.
Our Silent Sons Division represents a new direction for Nine Seconds Corporation. One locked-in on early prevention, values-based mentorship, and proactive emotional development for adolescents and young men between the ages of 11-25, with one goal... Prepare, Position, and Pressure Proof them before they ever become part of the cycle.
By providing them with the support, tools and skills necessary, our sons will build lives and lead families with confidence, vision and values so they don't have to heal from it later.
Through our signature programs, The Standard Club for junior high boys and GameReady ELITE for high school and college athletes, and MetaMastery for young adults transitioning into full independence we deliver mentorship, leadership development, and tactical life skills that prevent dysfunction before it starts.
We aren't waiting for the breakdown. We build Prepared. Positioned. Pressure Proof.™ young men from the start.
(Ages 11-15) Foundation-building program teaching emotional regulation, discipline, and integrity during critical developmental years. This program has chapters across the country thanks to our invaluable partnerships with other nonprofit organization. There is no cost for boys to participate. This program is solely funded through private donations and supervised by trained volunteers.
(Ages 16-24) Developmental training for high-level athletes learning to manage performance pressure while building authentic leadership skills, emotional regulation and conflict resolution strategies. This program is developed to address the unique needs and circumstances of athletes and is perfect for High Schools, Colleges, and Developmental Sports Clubs.
(Ages 18-25) Advanced leadership development for all young men transitioning into full independence and responsibility and who desire added support and guidance through the changes. At this point, some of our sons will be heading off to the pros, exploring careers, some will be starting families of their own, and others will be uncertain about their future. MetaMastery, covers all of the bases equipping them with the values and training to remain calm under pressure and to lead themselves and others with clarity and confidence.
Our keynote speaking engagements challenge silence and inspire change through powerful, trauma-aware conversations. We address the real issues behind violence, emotional shutdown, and pressure-driven behavior. Each tailored talk equips audiences with practical tools to promote safety, accountability, and healthier relationships. Perfect for school assemblies, athletic programs, teacher in-service trainings, athletic banquets, and administration development sessions.
Our group and team training workshops are fully customized to meet the specific needs of each team or organization. We provide practical, prevention-based strategies that promote strong leadership, emotional control, and values-driven behavior. Perfect for athletic teams, athletic directors and coaches, school and college administrators, guidance counselors, and youth programs.
All strategy sessions are individualized, with custom plans designed to meet the needs of the person. These sessions are geared to disrupt isolation and silence, prevent destructive behaviors, or begin the recovery and harm reduction process if a crisis has already started. They often help uncover and address layers of stress related to emotional, mental, spiritual, academic, or family challenges.
Your donation helps empower focus on our mission to end the silence and stop the violence as we serve and save families in crisis.
